Riesling: A Vertical in Time
Riesling. As a grape variety, it perfectly sums up the delicate balance involved in the entire winemaking process.
In the vineyard, decisions are made to balance the sugar levels at the time of harvest, determining the ultimate style of the finished wine, be it dry or with a touch of residual sugar.
The natural acidity of the variety makes it a long-lived wine if cellared, with pure, honeyed orchard fruit flavours that slowly and elegantly take on more and more complexity over time. A touch of delectable sweetness is perfectly complemented by this natural acidity, capturing the purity of the grape variety itself in the bottle.
Inspired by the great wines of Germany and Alsace, Riesling has long been a key member of the JoieFarm stable. It makes up some of the oldest vineyards in the Okanagan and suits the growing season here perfectly.
We're celebrating our history of crafting European-inspired Riesling with a special vertical release, including the 2009, 2012, and 2015 Riesling.
